Job Description

Banking & Financial Services Attorney

Location: Flexible / Multiple Office Locations

A well-established and growing national law firm is seeking a Banking & Financial Services Attorney (5–7 years) to join its Financial Regulatory and Compliance practice. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside industry experts and gain exposure to complex regulatory matters across the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with federal and state regulatory investigations and compliance matters
  • Review and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and compliance management systems
  • Analyze financial services regulations to support client operations in payments, lending, debt collection, mortgage servicing, and other banking/non-banking activities
  • Support regulatory due diligence in financial services M&A transactions
  • Conduct legal research, prepare high-quality written work product, and provide strategic advice to clients and regulators
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including client alerts, presentations, and participation in industry events

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in financial services, regulatory compliance, or related areas
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in home jurisdiction or eligibility for admission
