*This is a role with a company in the consumer goods space - CPG experience is required

*This role requires 4x a week in office in Austin

This is a defining creative leadership role inside a company at an inflection point — evolving its

brand, scaling its systems, and building a best-in-class in-house creative capability.

The Creative Director is a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for shaping and advancing

the Humann brand across every touchpoint — from concept to execution.

This role oversees the creative direction, storytelling, and design integrity of all brand and

marketing initiatives. The Creative Director will lead a multidisciplinary team of designers, art

directors, writers, and producers to deliver powerful, insight-driven creative work that both builds the brand and drives performance.

They will report directly to the CMO and work closely with the Brand and Integrated

Marketing team , ensuring creative strategy aligns seamlessly with business priorities,

campaign objectives, and go-to-market plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership

● Lead the development of creative concepts, campaigns, and content that strengthen the

Humann brand and connect with consumers emotionally and functionally.

● Translate brand strategy and positioning into compelling creative direction across digital,

social, retail, and content channels.

● Set the creative vision and uphold a high bar of quality, consistency, and craftsmanship

across all outputs.

● Ensure every asset — from an email to a national campaign — is strategically aligned,

compliant, and on-brand.

● Collaborate with growth and product marketing to bring together brand storytelling and

performance-driven creative.

Brand Stewardship

● Evolve and maintain Humann’s design system, ensuring cohesive visual and verbal

identity across all mediums.

● Lead the continuous evolution of brand standards, visual guidelines, and creative

frameworks.

● Partner with product, compliance, and science teams to ensure messaging integrity and

accuracy in all claims-based communication.

● Champion the brand’s aesthetic excellence, pushing for innovation while maintaining

consistency.

Operational Excellence

● Build scalable creative processes in partnership with Marketing Operations to ensure

efficient intake, prioritization, review, and delivery of work.

● Introduce structure and predictability to the creative workflow — improving transparency,

timelines, and output quality.

● Monitor resource capacity and ensure creative priorities align with business goals.

● Leverage data and insights to inform creative optimization and performance

improvements.

Team Leadership

● Inspire, manage, and mentor a team of designers, art directors, and copywriters.

● Foster a collaborative, curious, and high-performance culture within the creative team.

● Partner closely with the Brand and Integrated Marketing team to translate business and

campaign strategies into breakthrough creative ideas.

● Identify opportunities to develop talent, expand creative capabilities, and strengthen

overall team alignment.

Qualifications:

● 8–10+ years of experience in creative roles within brand, marketing, or agency

environments.

● Proven success leading creative direction for high-growth consumer brands.

● Expertise in integrated campaign development, digital-first creative, and brand

storytelling.

● Strong understanding of DTC, retail, and omni-channel marketing.

● Demonstrated ability to lead teams through both concept and execution phases.

● Exceptional design and art direction sensibility; deep understanding of brand systems

and creative production.

● Skilled collaborator who can navigate between creative, strategic, and operational

priorities.

● Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving

environment.

● Experience in wellness, nutrition, or CPG preferred but not required.
