This is not a backfill. It is a strategic hire tied to a planned transition within the estimating function.
They are looking for someone who wants more than just takeoffs. This role offers direct exposure to ownership and a clear path to step into a lead estimating position over time.
What You’ll Do
• Build and support project estimates across mechanical scopes
• Perform takeoffs and contribute to full bid development
• Work directly with ownership on pricing strategy and final submissions
• Participate in pre bid meetings, bid openings, and key project discussions
• Partner with project managers and field teams to align scope and execution
What They’re Looking For
• Estimating experience in construction or a related industry
• Exposure to mechanical systems such as piping, plumbing, HVAC, or light industrial environments
• Ability to perform takeoffs and understand construction documents
• Someone who wants to grow into owning the estimating function, not stay in a support role
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a take ownership mindset
Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary in the 80K to 85K range with flexibility for the right person
