About Us

Health Synergy Clinical Research is a high-enrolling, CNS-focused clinical research organization conducting Phase I–IV trials across schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and neurocognitive disorders.

We work directly with major pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs and are committed to precision data, operational excellence, and exceptional inter-rater reliability.

We are seeking an experienced, high-level Psychometric Rater with CNS trial experience.

Role Overview

The Psychometric Rater will conduct structured diagnostic interviews and gold-standard rating scales in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The candidate must demonstrate strong clinical interviewing skills, advanced understanding of psychopathology, and consistent inter-rater reliability performance.

This individual will be expected to defend and justify rating decisions with sponsors, medical monitors, and CROs.

Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Prior experience as a psychometric rater in industry-sponsored clinical trials
• Demonstrated experience with:
• PANSS
• MADRS
• MINI
• CGI scales
• HAM-D / HAM-A
• YMRS
• C-SSRS
• ADAS-Cog or other cognitive batteries (preferred)
• Experience conducting interviews in:
• Acute inpatient psychiatric settings
• Outpatient psychiatric populations
• Direct experience assessing patients diagnosed with:
• Schizophrenia
• Bipolar Disorder
• Major Depressive Disorder
• Anxiety Disorders
• PTSD
• Dementia / Neurocognitive Disorders

Core Competencies

• Strong structured interview technique
• Deep understanding of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
• Ability to maintain excellent inter-rater reliability
• Confident responding to sponsor/CRO queries regarding scoring decisions
• Clean documentation and timely source entry
• Professional presence with severely ill psychiatric populations
• High ethical standards and regulatory compliance awareness

Performance Expectations

• Maintain high screening-to-randomization quality metrics
• Achieve and sustain strong inter-rater reliability scores
• Complete all study-specific certifications on time
• Respond to sponsor queries within 24 hours
• Maintain protocol adherence with minimal deviations

Ideal Candidate Background

• PhD, PsyD, MD, DO, NP, PA, LCSW , RMHI , Masters level clinician
• Master’s level clinician with extensive CNS trial experience will be considered
• Minimum 1+ years CNS trial rating experience strongly preferred
• Experience in schizophrenia and bipolar programs highly valued
