Location: Long Island, NY (Onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Our client, a reputable construction company on Long Island, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in general construction estimating who can independently manage the full bid process and help drive new business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical and construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare comprehensive bids
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
• Oversee the bid process from initial review through final submission
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership on budgeting and strategy
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience, with a focus on electrical projects
• Proven track record of preparing competitive bids and winning work
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
