Our employees are the cornerstone of our success, and we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team. We are hiring for a first shift Maintenance Facility Technician 1.

The maintenance facility technician 1 must be proficient in maintaining the mechanical aspect of the facility. i.e., HVAC belts & filters, dock locks, dock levelers, safety gates, floor repair, general lighting, drywall repair, door repair, general facility repair, and assistance on production equipment-related issues. They should understand the fire system and where alarm points are throughout the facility.

Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

• Will be assigned work in the Preventive Maintenance, Projects, and Facility equipment repairs as required.
• Will need to complete work assignments in the Maintenance “work order/ PM” system.
• Will work in a safe guarded manner for his/ her safety and the safety of all others.
• They will follow all LOTO rules of Clopay and adhere to instructions from other Maintenance employees.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, maintained, and orderly condition.
• Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures. Report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other job-related duties and activities as needed.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
• Mechanical and Carpenter skills
• Low voltage electrical knowledge
• HVAC equipment knowledge
• Boilers, Chillers, and Compressed Air equipment
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a work team.
• Close, distance, and peripheral vision.
• Ability to discern colors and adjust focus.

Qualifications:

a) Education: H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent

b) Experience: Construction and Maintenance experience

c) Licenses/Certification: HVAC, Boilers, Plumbing, Electrical are a bonus
