This is a full-time, on-site role located in New Alexandria, VA. The Freelance Court Reporter will be responsible for accurately capturing and transcribing court proceedings, depositions, and testimonies. The role includes recording spoken words and non-verbal gestures as required, ensuring accurate legal documentation, and certifying the official transcripts. Collaboration with attorneys and other legal professionals is a key aspect of the position.

• Proficient in Court Reporting, with the ability to capture accurate legal documentation.
• Skilled in Transcription and preparing clear, verbatim reports.
• Familiarity with Court Proceedings and confidence in recording legal testimony and dialogue.
• Possession of Notary status (or willingness to obtain certification).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in modern recording technologies and equipment used in legal settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time-sensitive conditions.
• Prior experience in legal or court reporting is highly desirable.
• Certification from an accredited court reporting program is a plus.
